Education Matters is a non-profit organization and storytelling platform about the importance of education. Our mission is “To advance humankind by creating a world where people from all communities truly understand the value of education and everyone has equal access to pursue it.”

At Education Matters, we believe that storytelling is at the heart of change in every great community. With us, the storytelling that happens through essay and video reveals from students, professors and professionals across the United States. Each year we go out ask people all over the country one straightforward, simple question. We share with our users, the intimate and candid responses to this question, "Why does education matter to you?"
