About Us
The DC Women's Human Rights Action Team is a group of Amnesty International USA activists dedicated to advancing women's human rights, focusing specifically on issues surrounding violence against women on a local, national and international level. Since our creation in 2003, the Action Team has worked to raise awareness about women's human rights issues by organizing events that highlight the links between violence against women and human rights. Ranging from film screenings and expert panels to rallies and vigils, the action team's goals are not only to education but to mobilize to action.
