  • About Us

This group is a new instrumental music program at Boston Preparatory Charter Public School called Guitar Club. Guitar Club is designed to support the school’s goals of fostering students’ ethical development, with the understanding that serious musical study fosters perseverance, courage, and integrity. The main goal of this program is to provide students with the opportunity to learn to play the guitar in the same setting in which many young musicians start out: attending regular, individual (or “private”) lessons, followed by consistent practice at home on their own instrument. Guitar Club will provide these opportunities to our students while sparing their families the significant costs involved. All of the instruments will be provided by the school and the lessons will be taught by volunteer instructors from the greater Boston community.
