Young Workers United
Founded in 2002, Young Workers United is the nation's first worker center for young workers. We're committed to building a multi-racial, worker-led organization that unites U.S. born and immigrant workers from restaurants, stores and campuses. Our goal is to raise standards in the low-wage service sector through workplace organizing, policy campaigns and education. Some of our accomplishments include winning the strongest minimum wage law in US history in San Francisco, collecting thousands of dollars in back wages for workers and writing and passing the first paid sick days legislation in the nation. Young Workers United is a staff workers' collective.
