Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Patrick Odoyo and I am the Program Coordinator for Dago Dala Hera Children Center in Kenya (www.dagochildren.org and friendsofdago.org). My wife Susan Odoyo and I have been working with the project now for years and I have seen the dramatic effects a small group and people can have on an untold number of lives.
We now live in Evansville, INDIANA. but I maintain a strong contact with my community and family too. Dago Dala Hera orphanage cares for 114 orphans, many of whom are affected by HIV/AIDS. We also help with education, health, environment and mentorship programs. Through partners we also have an annual event called "Kenyan Goals: A medical and sports camp" where we use the draw of a soccer tournament to educate attendees about AIDS, provide medical services and test community members for HIV/AIDS. Please allow me to share an article with you that explains the soccer tournament and other activities in Dago and will attach others too:
