About Us
Florida Consumer Action Network is Florida's largest political and consumer advocacy group. Established in 1984, with thousands of members throughout Florida, FCAN is a grassroots organization focused on educating the public on a one-to-one basis on local, statewide and national issues that affect our daily lives. Our aim is to empower citizens to act on and change the problems they see and to redirect the power to hold politicians and corporations accountable to the public.
Current issues include insurance reform, health care, lower utility rates, jobs, and taxes.
FCAN is an independent affiliate of USAction and the Consumer Federation of America.
