About Us

The Kafenia Peace Collective promotes peace, generates authentic engagement, and eliminates prejudice and discrimination in community spaces where diverse cultures connect, contribute and lead.

We are registered as a non-profit in the State of California.

By building deep hearted inclusive communities in physical places, our goal is to change the culture -- help us operate differently -- from a feminine, heart rooted and bridge-building space -- and thus move towards greater inclusion, generosity, service, equity and a thriving, just world.

This first Kafenia is a feminine-spirited social healing project that weave our diverse cultures together into a ‘village of all together,’ starting with opening a community hub in Silicon Valley. Silicon Valley has so many beautiful women and men, but they are often hidden and valued primarily for their economic contributions. The Kafenia is focused on slowing down, strengthening our humanity and uplifting our diverse immigrants from village cultures. We are building a more heartfelt community here while also moving towards a peaceful regenerative world. The Kafenia is a reimagining of the ancient symposium and the kafenio, a food & dialogue space that served as the center of village life in Greece.

We have held over 30 pop-ups on the Peninsula, 2 Peace Meals and have really built a community rooted in shared values of inclusion, welcome and understanding as an antidote to the stressful context within which we live.

We are actively looking for public space with a kitchen to gather once a week or ongoing as well as founding funders to support this effort to bring the feminine to this culture.
