About Us

Since 1887 in Federal Hill House has been serving the needs of the community in Providence and beyond.  Federal Hill House’s mission is to improve the quality of life of our clients by providing the best possible human services that promote education, empowerment, and self-sufficiency.

Federal Hill House remains one of the oldest centers in Providence and we remain proud of our roots that helped support the basic needs of nearly 40,000 Irish and Italian immigrants. Today we continue to evolve and meet the emerging and urgent needs of the people of Providence.

Federal Hill House continues to offer continuum of emergency, social and educational services, including emergency food distribution, basic education, computer training, counseling, senior programs, early childhood learning and after school care, and support for families with young children.
