United Friends School
United Friends School (UFS) is a pre-school through eighth grade co-educational, independent Quaker day school located in Quakertown, Pennsylvania. It was founded in 1983 by a group of parents seeking an education for children based on the Quaker principles of care for one another, truthfulness, simplicity, community, and peaceful resolution of conflicts. UFS continues this noble endeavor today.
Our family-centered approach provides a special opportunity to enrich the entire family's experience through school and community activities. Parental commitment (link to Parents page) to volunteerism and fundraising provides the backbone of our community and allows for a diverse range of families seeking independent schooling. This diversity enriches our educational program and nurtures our spiritual lives. Through careful stewardship of resources, the school attempts to balance its physical and program needs with its desire to maintain an academically and socio-economically diverse student population.
The hand, the heart, the eye, The tools for each to learn and teach.
The mission of United Friends School is to make each day an inspiring learning experience guided by the Quaker testimonies of simplicity, peace, integrity, community, equality and service.
