Centro Community Partners

Centro Community Partners Centro Community Partners (Centro) is an Oakland-based technology-driven non-profit 501(c)(3) that provides entrepreneurship education, financial literacy, enterprise development services, and access to capital to low-income individuals with a focus on women and minorities. Centro empowers underserved entrepreneurs to be effective business owners, create self-sustaining jobs, and obtain microloans to grow businesses that add to the economic vitality and social vibrancy of their communities.

 In 2015, Centro completed its fifth year of operations. Over that period, Centro has trained more than 200 entrepreneurs, 100 small business advisors, and provided access to more than $220,000 in micro loans. Centro has developed an innovative approach to entrepreneurship and advisor training. This approach utilizes mobile technology to deliver high-impact and low-cost entrepreneurship training and development tools that enable organizations and individuals to create effective and scalable entrepreneurship training and support for underserved entrepreneurs.
