Voices Education Project

About Us

The Voices [Education Project] works to amplify the voices of veterans and civilian witnesses to war, in order to heal the wounds of war and lay the basis for a more peaceful world.

The work of our War and Peace Center is to act as a clearinghouse in the arts and humanities. Our writings and collections of literature, poetry and the arts are internationally-based and relate directly to topics of war and peace. All material is free to our readers, schools and students.

We sponsor a special series: Playback [Stories That Need to be Heard] which introduces to our members the stories of individuals who have confronted horrendous life situations or difficult challenges and worked to overcome them to the greater good of humanity.

Ultimately our mission is to encourage story-telling in the service of peace. We believe the more we hear stories of war, the more we become committed to finding alternatives to solving problems through war.
