Butler County Humane Society

  • About Us

The Butler County Humane Society is proud to serve pets and people in Butler County through our programs. We are dedicated to providing the highest quality care possible to the nearly 2,000 homeless dogs and cats we care for each year and to the education, safety, and health of all of the animals in Butler County. The Butler County Humane Society is a non-profit organization that relies solely on community support.

Volunteering is an important job! In becoming a volunteer, you become part of our mission, representing the BCHS to the general public. This is an important job, but what you will receive in return is so much more than you can imagine. When you see those wagging tails and shining bright eyes; when you see the smiles (yes they do smile) and hear the woofs and meows; you will know that you are so greatly appreciated for whatever you do to help these helpless creatures. Whether you work directly with the animals or work on other tasks, whatever you choose to do will have a tremendous impact on our shelter and the animals.

The 2nd Monday of every month at 6pm is the general Volunteer Orientation that all new volunteers must attend.
