  • About Us

Education for All: Project ABC works within the marginalized communities of Haitian immigrants to the Dominican Republic and Dominicans of Haitian descent who are denied basic rights because of their ancestry. Education for All runs adult basic education classes in five communities which reach over 130 active participants.

Students are almost exclusively Haitians or Dominicans of Haitian descent who do not have access to the Dominican public educational system, and as a result have no way of attaining basic literacy skills. Education for All not only provides a space for adults to gain fundamental skills they did not have the opportunity to acquire as children, but also works with the participants to provide a forum for community members to discuss important issues that affect their lives.
