  • About Us

Social and economic international development in the areas of ecology, women's rights and health in Central America. The program is centered on the construction and use of solar ovens for domestic cooking. Groups of women organize to build, use, and maintain the ovens, and then select other projects to benefit themselves and their community. This has led to small projects in nutrition, children’s education, the preparation and sale of soy products, and the development of community libraries, convenience stores and a micro-loan program. There is an extensive program to promote women’s leadership development. However, as in all our projects, the initiative and special interests of the volunteer will be encouraged.
