    Organized by funders, Grantmakers Forum of New York (GFNY) exists to raise the level and effectiveness of philanthropic investment in the communities of Upstate New York. GFNY brings funders together to understand how they can streamline the grantmaker/grantseeker relationship, seek out public and private partners to utilize the strength of philanthropy for innovation, focus their grantmaking for greater impact, and realize their philanthropic goals.

    GFNY members represent over 50% of all grantmaking in Upstate New York, awarding almost $484 million annually in New York. Members include private family and independent foundations, community and other public foundations, corporate foundations and giving programs, philanthropic advisors and government.
