Media for the Public Good, Inc.

Media for the Public Good is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that produces OutCasting, public radio's LGBTQ youth program. OutCasting is heard on more than 50 public radio stations in the US affiliated with the Pacifica Radio Network. To the best of our knowledge, OutCasting is the only program of its kind in public radio in the US. We also produce OutCasting Overtime, a series of shorter pieces, regularly heard on a program that's carried by more than 200 stations. Both are released by the first of every month and are also available online.

Our mission is to give a national voice to LGBTQ youth, train a new generation of advocates, and inject a youth perspective into our national discussion of LGBTQ issues.

OutCasting is based in Westchester County, NY, and has a bureaus Michigan State University.
