Mayambala Orphanage Center

Mayambala Orphanage Center (MOC), dedicated to improving the lives of Orphans, women, youth, and needy children through education and economic empowerment due to lack of resources and neglect.

Mayambala Orphanage Center is a registered Community Based Origination (CBO) in 2018 with the government of Republic of Uganda. We are situated in Badongo village, Makindye division, and Kampala district, Uganda. We focus on serving 55 villages in Kampala District, particularly in Makindye sub-county on the mainland, Kampala Town council on the mainland, and Katwe Parish.

Our organization works tirelessly to support less privileged groups like orphans, children (especially the girl child), widows, elderly and the persons with disabilities to enable them access basic needs such as a home, education, Scholastic materials, mid-day meals, sanitary Pads and others.

We also support communities in realizing self-dependency especially the women, youth and school dropouts through promotion of Skills training education with free tools, and training in self-help practical projects that will improve their social-economic well-being, Building Capacity of Communities to promote for a healthy community through fighting against HIV/AIDS, provision of clean water, sensitization on good nutrition, hygiene and other health matters, increase awareness on the roles and need to observe human rights especially among the children, women and the disabled for restoration of dignity through sensitization also to advocate for the promotion, protection and conservation of the environment through practicing activities like tree-planting, sensitization of the community about Environment.

Mayambala Orphanage Center has successfully assisted orphans by providing books, pens, shoes, school bags, sets, clothes, soap, sugar, rice, Posho, and covering their school fees. We have contributed beds to schools, enabling them to accommodate students from far villages.
