As a community-based organisation, the Millennium Home of Hope is a "transition home" for abandoned/orphaned infected/affected HIV positive babies and children aged 0-6. Referrals to the Home come from hospitals, community projects, individuals, social workers, etc.
The children are cared for until such time as the HOMES OF HOPE COMMUNITY OUTREACH (see entry) have found a mini "home of hope" for them in the community. Ideally, a child is placed within 3 months of his/her coming to the Home, depending on his/her state of health.
