About Us

Age of Montessori is a non-profit organization (501.c3 public charity) that certifies Montessori teachers in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. We are accredited by the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE). We are located in Bozeman, Montana and provide summer residencies in Nashville, Tennessee and Madbury, New Hampshire.

While we are focused on training teachers nationally, we have trained teachers on four continents. Our programs combine online learning with face-to-face training that prepares students to present lessons in the four avenues of learning. We also work closely with students during their one year internships in schools across the country.

We are unique in that our "master" teacher, Mary Ellen Maunz, was trained by Dr. Elisabeth Caspari, who was trained by Dr. Maria Montessori herself. This establishes our training center as truly authentic.

Our mission: to certify Montessori teachers and educate parents. We are a small team of 10 faculty and staff that are passionate the importance of early childhood and elementary education. Our goals include providing training that is accessible and affordable while nurturing each student very personally through the training program. Our faculty have decades of training experience.

Over the last seven years we have been committed to providing free resources on our website that inspire and guide parents and teachers to bring out the best in their children. Our website: www.ageofmontessori.org
