About Us
ACPDA based in Calcutta, India(http://www.philanthropyindia.org/) is primarily a support agency to the Indian Association of Blood Cancer and Allied Diseases(www.cancerlifeblood.org) which is a leading blood bank (ISO certified) and also works with terminally ill children in Calcutta, India.
ACPDA also provides consultancy services to other NGOs and would like to focus on the care of the Elderly.
Right now, we are interested in three kinds of volunteers. One, who have an interest in Health related issues and have some experience counselling terminally ill children and their families. Second, people interested in documentation are encouraged to volunteer as we need to document Case Studies and Best Practices. The third would be someone with a professional background in Health/Haemtological issues who would be interested in doing research.
