Maryland Chamber Foundation
The Maryland Chamber Foundation is a 501(c)(3) supporting the shared vision of a better Maryland. With priorities like research, development and education, the foundation is a cornerstone of community-building in business.
Policymakers and the public tend to focus too much on the next four years and not enough on the next four generations. Maryland’s business community needs original ideas to tackle the state’s unique current and future challenges. It’s time for Maryland’s business community to share a new vision for success: an innovative, all-industry, all-encompassing approach that drives, with focus and resolve, toward greater growth.
Forward Motion: The Maryland 2030 Blueprint
Maryland 2030, the blueprint for success, will guide the development of strategies to ensure Maryland is at the forefront of global competitiveness and economic prosperity, attracting and retaining quality jobs, and developing vibrant, sustainable communities. This project is a collaborative, two-year research effort designed to stimulate strategic thinking, identify key trends, and engage business and community leaders in each of Maryland’s 23 counties and Baltimore City.
Produced as part of Maryland 2030, in cooperation with the Regional Economic Studies Institute at Towson University (RESI), the Foundation’s 2030 Blueprint will answer those questions and more to prepare the state for continued growth and ensure its continued success. It will design strategies built around the factors that drive Maryland’s future economy: talent, education, innovation, economic diversity, infrastructure, business climate, governance, and quality of life.
