Film New Europe

We are a film and television news and information database and online publication devoted to film and TV in the new European countries. We hope to help connect industry professionals across the globe and promote Eastern/Central European film. Specifically, we serve the needs of the audio-visual industries of Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta and Cyprus. Our main objective is to provide a common point for the distribution of information about the audio-visual industries in these countries that will promote their development, independence and global integration. We also want to provide training for young researchers and journalists in our office by giving them the opportunity to work in a professional environment with industry experts. We are funded through grants by public bodies, barter funding from computer, design and other services companies, and some sponsorship from corporate entities.
