About Us
Local organization supporting the preservation of the natural resources of the U.S. Department of Energy's 20,000-plus-acre Oak Ridge Reservation Research Park in Tennessee -- for the long-term benefit of DOE, the local community, and national and international interests.
AFORR believes this public land reserve has substantial value for: Science and Technology, Conservation, Economy and Jobs, Public Health and Safety, Education, Recreation, and Historical Significance. We are working to educate the community and our members about these values, as well as to ensure that these public lands are protected.
