About Us
We are the First Inclusive Women's Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest) Expedition. We are 10 Nepali women from a diversity of caste and ethnic backgrounds. Our summit attempt in May 2008 will be the largest ever undertaken by women. We seek not just to add another tally to the list of Everest summits; this is the beginning of a much larger project. Driven by the desire to break down barriers currently facing women in Nepali society, our overarching mission is to open doors to all women and inspire them to overcome the obstacles they face.
