The Rainforest Academy
The CRC hopes to open a community high school called the Rainforest Academy in September 2014. The widespread misuse of land in the community has resulted in high rates of deforestation, erosion, and destruction of watershed. Therefore, the Academy will have a focus on environmental conservation and sustainable farming, as well as academics. Students will also be taught entrepreneurial and technical skills to ensure that they graduate with both academic and technical skills.
