Urban Assembly Media High School

Urban Assembly Media High School is a small, college preparatory, public high school in New York City.

UAM uses media as an entry point to academic rigor, empowering our students to critique and become producers of media. All too many times young people consume the media without the proper decoding mechanisms to decipher for themselves what is being conveyed. We infuse media in every strand of our school in order to help our students develop the reflective practices they need to become creative, proactive participants in their communities and in the world.
