ReefDoctor is a coral reef research and conservation not-for-profit organisation. Our work focuses around the beautiful coral reef ecosystem of the Bay of Ranobe in SW Madagascar. We’re currently looking for voluntary research assistants. Research assistants are involved in every aspect of camp life from diving daily (completing studies of coral reef health, population structure, coral spawning and recruitment work and sedimentation studies), to liaising with community members and local scientists, to teaching English! Volunteer research assistants with ReefDoctor become part of a small international working team. You shall be a sixth or an eighth of our team total (we have a 1:1 to 1:2 ratio of staff to research assistants) and thus a vital component in our programme of work.
