About Us

The Caribbean Education Foundation, Inc. (CEF) is a registered 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, nonprofit organization in the United States. CEF enables poor children to have meaningul access to quality education in the Caribbean and developing world. It provides scholarships to children in financial need so they can attend school.

The Caribbean Education Foundation is established on the principles in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, UN Declaration of Human Rights. CEF believes education is the cornerstone to choice and opportunity for all people.

Junior High and High Schools are NOT FREE in Jamaica and thousands of brilliant 10 and 11-year-old children pass their exams to go to school, but are unable attend school, because their families cannot pay school fees and other school-related costs. CEF Scholarships help children to pay fees purchase text books, school supplies, meals and transportation.

CEF’s goal is to help break the poverty cycle in the developing world and give children meaningful choice and opportunity in this world.
