About Us

Founded in 1978, Edaprospo (Equipo de Educación y Autogestión Social) is an NGO in Lima that focuses on advancing the development of Peru's impoverished communities. Their primary objective is to help men, women, and youth increasing their skills and attaining dignified work and therefore social inclusion. In this way, they are working toward greater social and economic justice in Peruvian society.

Edaprospo now includes a microcredit program (the program Prosperidad), job training programs for the disabled, support to cooperatives of women and business skills development for youth.

In addition to the central headquarters (in Jesus María), there are seven branch offices: five in the urban outskirts of Lima (Comas, Vitarte, San Juan de Lurigancho, Huaycan and Los Olivos), one in a more rural sector of Lima (Huarochirí) and one in Huancayo, high in the Andes.
