  • About Us

Since 1990, Gaia Amazonas Foundation (GAF), based in Colombia, has worked with indigenous peoples and the Colombian government to protect 35 million hectares of some of the world’s most pristine rainforest. GAF engages indigenous peoples to identify and solve problems, allowing these communities to become the stewards of the Amazon, while earning a sustainable living. GAF’s goal is to preserve a total of 100 million hectares in the North West Amazon.
