About Us
The mission of LSS, a 123-year-old, not-for-profit health and human services agency, is "to provide help, healing and hope to children, elderly and the poor in the name of Jesus Christ." Services to 25,000 persons across Texas and in New Orleans, LA are provided without regard to religion, race, age, gendor, or income. Services included pregnancy counseling, domestic and international adoption (Russia and other countries), foster care (including medically fragile children); nationally accredited children's residential treatment centers; programs for low income persons in three Texas areas (Corpus Christi, Lubbock and Aldine/Houston); retirement communities, assisted living and skilled nursing care for seniors; and disaster relief.
