Junior Policy Fellows

Our mission is to increase interest in public service careers among high school and college students. We have programs in NYC and New Jersey.

Junior Policy Fellows works with high school and early college students to increase their interest in careers in public service. We have two main activities: 1) a policy research experience, which involves a course in policy analys taught by college-level instructors and a research project on a topic selected in collaboration with city officials, and 2) a speakers' series, featuring accomplished indivudals from an array of fields, ranging from international political development, to journalism, to private-sector social entrepreneurship, as well as more traditional publc service fields such as social work and law. Our students learn that a "public service career" can include jobs that go well beyond the types of jobs they might think.
