    Located in Northern Virginia, Friends of Homeless Animals is celebrating our 49th year. Since our founding in 1973, more than 17,000 cats and dogs have found a safe haven at FOHA. We are a no-kill shelter located on over 40 acres of land in Loudoun County, VA. Dedicated to saving abandoned and abused dogs and cats, FOHA provides rescue, medical care, rehabilitation, and adoption services in the Northern Virginia and Washington, DC metropolitan areas.
