Kids Off The Block, Inc.

Kids Off The Block (KOB) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation. Our mission is to provide at-risk low income youth positive alternatives to gangs, drugs, truancy, violence, and the juvenile justice system. We believe that it is our duty to assure that our youth have a safe environment after the school day has ended. KOB will provide a healthy learning atmosphere that will enable each child to develop to his/her potential. Students will be encouraged to discover, explore and create in order to develop the attitudes necessary for effective living. Prime consideration will be given to developing moral values, a positive attitude towards life, and a healthy self-concept for lifelong learning in a rapidly changing environment. We offer each student tutoring, mentoring, music, drama, gang and drug intervention,and hiv/aids prevention. Hours of operation are Monday thru Friday, 4pm to 8pm.
