The Deng Ater Foundation - Lost Boys Schools for Sudan

Our mission is to provide the opportunity of an education to disadvantaged children by building economically, socially, environmentally sustainable primary and secondary schools in rural areas throughout southern Sudan.

To achieve that mission, the Deng Ater Foundation has a vision of promoting peace & reconciliation through education throughout southern Sudan. That vision encompasses two core competencies: Building schools and developing community-based programs, such as health care education initiatives, literacy and vocational training projects.

Core competencies and distinctive capabilities are based on a shared commitment to five core values: An unyielding commitment to promote, support and uphold - Human rights, education, social sustainability, economic sustainability & environmental sustainability, in everything we do.
