Radio Comunitaria Monteverde

Monteverde Community Radio (MCR) seeks to provide high-quality, innovative, diverse and locally-produced programming about and for the Monteverde zone. Additionally, MCR news and public affairs programming strives for fairness and accuracy, and is informed by the organization's concern for peace, justice, democracy, human rights, multiculturalism, sustainability, conservation, and freedom of expression. MCR was established in 2013 as a non-commercial, internet-based community radio station managed by volunteers and supported by listener-members. The MCR mission is to inform, educate, entertain, and unite the unique bilingual community of Monteverde in order to promote sustainable local development and shared knowledge. MCR strives to build community and celebrate diversity by providing a forum for information, education, and entertainment.
