About Us
The mission of the Human Rights Education Institute is to creata human rights center program to promote human rights as an essential element of a just and successful democracy. The human rights center program is designed to engage all area residents and visitors in educational opportunities that:
• bring together individuals to define, explain, and advance human rights; • encourage on-going dialogue about human rights and individual differences; • illuminate and cause reflection upon our own struggles and triumphs with human rights; and • inspire active participation in the development of tolerant and inclusive communities.
The human rights center program helps people transform their knowledge and understanding into actions that are respectful of others.
