Persist Health Project

Persist is a peer-led, community-based project by and for people in the sex trades based on Brooklyn, New York. We provide health and support services, as well as community organizing and leadership opportunities. We are by and for sex workers, trafficking survivors, and anyone who has traded sex for money, food, drugs, or other resources. We believe in bridging the gaps in health and social services for people like us by fighting coercion and violence against people in the sex trade, while building better spaces to get safe, affirming, and affordable health and social services. We work to build power across communities impacted by the criminalization of the sex trade through education, mobilization, and leadership development.
