About Us

Project U.N.I.T.Y. (Understanding the Needs In Today’s Teen Youth) is a progressive community-based youth development program that assists teens in meeting their basic personal and social needs and build competencies necessary for successful adolescent and adult life by participating in activities that promote their academic and social growth. We focus on the integrity and accomplishments of our youth in hopes of strengthening the teenager's images, encouraging healthy behaviors, and decreasing the widespread misconception of youth among our community and ultimately their place in society.

MNSYC Project U.N.I.T.Y Vision is:

To provide relevant, diversified, educational and recreational programs that are safe, healthy, and provide positive experiences that support teens in the development of behaviors, skills, attitudes, knowledge, and values necessary to realize their maximum potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. We seek to offer alternatives to violence, gang participation and Mob action, teen pregnancy, high school drop-out and truancy, drug and alcohol abuse, promiscuity and sexually transmitted diseases and other self destructive behaviors.
