Can Music Save the World

The mission of C.M.S.W. is to promote the collaboration of socially diverse cultures by providing after school music programs in elementary schools. C.M.S.W. believes that teaching the importance of community through music must start at an early age so that it provides a foundation of sustainable learning. In addition, the decision for a student to continue music in both middle and high school is primarily predicated on whether they participated in an elementary school music based program. We believe that if we create a strong foundation of music education in the elementary school populace, this will increase pressure upstream to support the level of talent feeding into the middle schools. It also drives enthusiasm and community support for the creation of quality music programs in 6-12^th grade if kids are entering these schools without a program to apply their earlier studies.
