We aim to raise people’s awareness about how much water is used to produce meat and dairy. California is one of the largest producers of meat and dairy in the country and at the same time, we is suffering from an historic 10 year drought. Unfortunately, very little is being done or discussed about this issue in the media or by our government. On the contrary, most animal agriculture is supported (and sometimes even funded) by these agencies. We believe if more people were educated about this issue, people would gladly change their dietary habits. Our project involves a series of billboards to targeting Californians who eat meat and dairy products on a regular basis. These billboards will open a dialogue about the current water crisis and how consumers can save water through consuming less meat and dairy.
