About Us

Culture Smartz, Incorporated is organized to offer an innovative cultural arts education to children ages 3 to 93 years old that inspires unity amongst cultures and cultivates a generation who appreciates the performing and visual arts. Culture Smartz seeks to focus half of our services on at-risk youth through outreach programs in low income neighborhoods. Through international research, Culture Smartz intends to develop a fresh, engaging curriculum that gives students a new perspective of their world. The education, outreach, and research activities will be aimed toward…

Cultural Arts Education

In an effort to foster a love for the arts and culture in the next generation, Culture Smartz will use our research based curriculum to conduct fun and effective workshops, after school programs and summer camps to children 3-18 years old. Culture Smartz also offers adult classes and programs for senior citizens.

Our curriculum uses drama, visual arts, music, dance and culinary arts as a medium to teach the history and arts traditions of different cultures from around the world. Students will learn about different countries on the following continents: South America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia.

The Culture Smartz Curriculum booklets are also available to purchase for education purposes by qualified institutions.

Outreach Programs

Similar to our traditional cultural arts education programs, our free outreach programs use the arts as a medium to teach the history and arts traditions of different cultures from around the world.

These programs are placed in neighborhoods where parents can’t afford extracurricular and/or enrichment programs for their children – in the communities that need it the most. According to a National Endowment for the Arts report entitled, The Arts and Achievement in At-Risk Youth: Finding from Four Longitudinal Studies, “at-risk students who have access to the arts in or out of school also tend to have better academic results, better workforce opportunities, and more civic engagement.”

International Research

With the financial assistance of foundations, private donors and the public, Culture Smartz will conduct research and collect information on the cultural arts traditions of various countries in South America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia. This research will be the basis for developing educational materials to be taught during workshops, after school programs and summer camps. The educational material will also be made available for purchase by interested institutions.

At the beginning of each fiscal year, The Board of Directors will decide on a theme for the following fiscal year and select a qualified Curriculum Developer(s) to conduct the research.
