Friends of Jack the Cat

Lebanon, NJ

  • About Us

Friends of Jack (the Cat), referred to as "FoJ," is a group of people dedicated to promoting efforts to find Jack the Cat, who was lost by American Airlines baggage handlers at JFK Airport, Terminal 8 on August 25, 2011. This group is also concerned about the prevention of such incidents in the future. Airlines promote how safe it is to transport companion animals via commercial airlines, but the statistics prove otherwise. No pet (or pet lover) should ever have to go through this trauma again. Since American Airlines' response to this crisis has been ineffectual (as well as negligent), almost all efforts to find Jack have been made by volunteers who are members of Friends of Jack.
