About Us
A dramatic image can change our perception and alter our understanding of a subject. This idea defines the mission of Blue Earth Alliance: to raise awareness about endangered cultures, threatened environments and social concerns through photography. By supporting the power of photographic storytelling, we motivate society to make positive change.
Founded in 1995, Blue Earth Alliance is a 501(c) (3) dedicated to supporting cause-driven documentary photographers and filmmakers. We have sponsored over 130 projects in our history.
In addition we produce a conference that brings together nonprofits, photographers, filmmakers and communications professionals for two days of education, inspiration and networking. Our fifth annual Collaborations for Cause will be held May 5-6 at the Seattle Main Library.
