    Originally an effort to keep high risk youth engaged in productive activities by embracing their culture, Project Okurase is continuing the transcontinental adventures and actively seeking medical and non-medical volunteers to be a part of the 2014 Summer Village Health Outreach!

    The mission of Project Okurase is to create sustainable solutions to common problems faced by residents of the village of Okurase in Ghana, West Africa, by forming strong interpersonal teams and relationships between people from all walks of land. The six overarching focus areas of Project Okurase are 1) economic self-sufficiency; 2) food security; 3) health and nutrition; 4) education and technology; 5) building and energy sources; and 6) women and orphans & vulnerable children.
