About Us

Horizons for Homeless Children is an independent, nonprofit organization providing services for homeless children and their families in Massachusetts. Founded in 1988 to respond to the growing needs of homeless children and their families, it is the only organization in Massachusetts working specifically to meet the needs of homeless children.

Horizons hosts Volunteer Trainings for our Playspace Program across the state, throughout the year. The next training in the Northeast Region will be on Saturday, May 13th from 10:00 am-1:00 pm at the Tewksbury Public Library in Tewksbury, MA. If you cannot make this particular training, we will have other training opportunities on Saturday, May 6th from 10:00 am-1:00 pm in Worcester, MA and on Saturday, May 17th from 9:30 am-12:30 pm in Roxbury, MA that could be convenient for Northeast MA Volunteers!
