Rafiki Coalition for Health and Wellness

Rafiki Coalition's mission is to eliminate inequalities in San Francisco's Black and marginalized communities through education, advocacy, and by providing holistic health and wellness services in a culturally affirming environment. Rafiki Coalition strives to achieve its mission by providing health and wellness services including, but not limited to, transitional housing for people living with HIV/AIDS, health education, advocacy, health case management, trauma resiliency and mental health circles, as well as other health-promoting activities. Since 2004, Rafiki Coalition has evolved beyond focusing on HIV/AIDS into a health and wellness hub where health information is available, health education offered and optimal wellness is encouraged through movement classes, nutrition workshops, health screenings, and complementary medicine (e.g., acupuncture, massage). Rafiki Coalition has been a pioneer in providing these services and has the depth and breadth of experience to serve the local community as health and outreach needs continue to evolve.
