American Association of School Administrators d/b/a AASA, The School Superintendents Association, founded in 1865, is the professional organization for over 13,000 educational leaders across North America and in many other countries. The four major focus areas for AASA are:
- Improving the condition of children and youth
- Transforming leadership of school systems
- Preparing schools for the challenges of the 21st century
- Building community support on behalf of children
