America Solidaria is an international nonprofit organization that works to overcome the cultural and material bases of poverty throughout the Americas. In America Solidaria, we envision a continent where all children and adolescents have what they need to grow, learn, and fulfill their potential. We see it as our shared responsibility as citizens of this region to make this vision a reality by mobilizing long-term fellows with professional skills to build capacity in local organizations.

By positioning skilled international fellows with local non-profits, we benefit the most vulnerable communities in the Americas and build capacity among our partner organizations. Furthermore, we provide valuable experience to future global leaders, empowering our volunteers to address hemispheric development issues, to improve governance within civil society, and to strengthen bonds. 

Founded in Santiago, Chile in 2002, America Solidaria has grown to include regional offices in 8 countries. Over the last 15 years, we have developed more than 330 projects involving more than 800 professional volunteers at 87 non-profit organizations in 13 countries. Every year, more than 33,000 people throughout the Americas benefit from our collective partnerships with companies, governments, multilateral organizations, and local community stakeholders.
