About Us

The CD Forum’s MISSION is to offer progressive programs that encourage thought and debate on the role of African-Americans in American society. The CD Forum’s VISION is to inspire new thoughts and challenge assumptions about African-American culture.

The CD Forum was created in 1999 as a cultural enrichment touchstone, acting as a forum through which the black community can connect, while giving people of all backgrounds an appreciation for how the black experience has profoundly shaped our collective American culture. We are dedicated to supporting local and national African-American artists by providing them with a stage upon which to present their work along with a welcoming and diverse audience. Our events present African-American culture in a radical new way: African-American as American and for every American.
